I met Lynn around 1982 or so; he, Gary Sperry, Fred Baker and I worked together in a band for a year or two. As humans go, Lynn was one of the best I ever knew. His sense of humor, devotion to his friends and making the music as good as it could be made us good friends. I'm really sorry I didn't make the trip down to see him much in all those years; just hard to ever budget a day's worth of time. RIP old friend and save me a seat by the girls.

An anecdote from his daughter: my dad rarely cooked when I was a kid which I'm assuming was because he only knew how to cook a few things - spicy beans, pork chops, or carefully flavored burgers that he had cooked with chopped onions in the meat. I would always get concerned or worried when I saw him cooking and couldn't just wait but had to ask what he was making (if my mother cooked I never bothered) and he would ALWAYS answer "FRIED kitty legs. With a little salt and pepper." And I would play along and say "No! No! I like kitties!" To which he would reply "I do too...with a little SALT and PEPPER!"

To Lynn' s family and friends, very sorry for your loss. I got to know Lynn professionally 20 some years ago and we had kept in touch since. I am from Minnesota and we had our annual Cowboy/Viking bet which became more and more complicated as the years passed, but that was the enjoyment and cause wonderful discussions. I will miss my friend and partner.
